(6-month Contract paid at National Minimum Wage)
Condé Nast is home to some of the world’s most celebrated media brands. In Britain, we set the benchmark for multimedia publishing excellence, with 13 print magazines and accompanying websites, as well as numerous tablet and Smartphone apps. We also run the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, located in the heart of Soho in London; a contract publishing division; and own the Condé Nast Johansens luxury travel guides, site and app. Condé Nast UK brands include VOGUE, Glamour, GQ, The World of Interiors, House & Garden, Condé Nast Traveller, Tatler, Brides, Wired, LOVE, Vanity Fair and Condé Nast Johansens.
The Human Resources Department at Condé Nast Publications is seeking an intern to provide quality HR, Recruitment and Payroll administrative support on a daily basis.
If you are seeking a career in HR, this will be a great learning opportunity working closely with the HR team and Payroll.
Responsibilities:
• Answering the phones and relaying messages
• Assisting with general administration including Intern contracts, new starter process, reference requests and weekly timesheets
• Assisting with benefits administration
• Maintaining the Casual Pool – Interviewing suitable candidates and place.
• Preparing and processing weekly timesheets for temporary payroll
• Managing employee security passes
• Working with Payroll to input casual worker data
• Project support on various HR initiatives
• Distributing external and internal HR post
• Maintaining HR filing system
Desired profile
Key Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have completed a CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualification (or equivalent), have a keen interest in the HR sector and be willing to work with HR professionals at all levels. Candidates need to be extremely discreet due to confidential information, be approachable and have the ability to be firm when needed. Proficient skills in MS Office packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential. Experience using an HRIS would be a bonus but is not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent HR graduate to gain experience in a Human Resources environment within one of the world’s largest publishing organisations.
