Studio and Production Internship

Job description

Comfort Station is a high fashion jewellery and accessories label which shows and sells internationally and in our flagship store in Cheshire St off Brick Lane.

Every collection is handcrafted at the in-house studio to the highest finish, using materials ranging from precious metals to sustainable resourced wood, and re-appropriated antique books.

We are currently looking for a studio and production intern.

Experience gained: The student/graduate could gain experience in jewellery construction which will involve the use of different materials and a range of techniques: soldering, gold plating, polishing, oxidising, wire work, drilling, piercing working with wooden components. They will also assist the designer and studio manager and gain an insight into the workings of a fashion jewellery business.

A student/graduate who is studying or has graduated from a jewellery or fashion accessories course and has good three-dimensional and making skills would benefit from this placement.
