Consequently, we currently have several opportunities for Recruiters to join our UK team. These roles focus on the attraction, engagement and hiring of permanent talent throughout the UK and Ireland by using direct sourcing channels. This will cover all aspects of the end-to-end recruitment cycle - building relationships with hiring managers, taking detailed briefs, conducting interviews and determining the most appropriate recruitment channels - within a constantly changing and fast-paced organisation.

Reporting to the UK & Ireland Recruitment Manager you will be part of a dedicated team of Recruiters both on and offshore. You will work closely with the business to provide a responsive, proactive and professional resourcing service, ensuring that Cognizant attracts the best quality talent in the industry. You will be accountable for:

• Proactively sourcing and screening direct applicants against both live and pipeline vacancies using various methods, including promoting our referrals scheme and attending recruitment fairs.

• Screening candidate CVs against job specs and conducting telephone interviews.

• Conducting face to face interviews with shortlisted candidates and submitting them to Hiring Managers.

• Arranging and conducting candidate Assessment Centres.

• Arranging Interviews and collating feedback to both candidates and Hiring Managers.

• Briefing recruitment agencies if required, to quickly source relevant candidates.

• Working with Hiring Managers to confirm start dates and on-board new employees.

• Recruitment reporting – candidate tracking, pipeline status, campaign statistics.

• Advertising vacancies on the company website/external job boards/social media.

• Championing proactive recruitment methods and sharing best practise with the team.

• Ensuring a high quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment life cycle.

• Owning projects as required.

Skills required

• Experienced recruiters with previous exposure to technical IT or consulting recruitment preferred.

• Proven experience of using LinkedIn and best practice search methodologies to identify and engage with top talent.

• Great communication and influencing skills, able to articulate our USPs and ensure consistent messaging throughout the process.

• A strong work ethic and proactive attitude that contributes to wider team initiatives.

• Passionate about getting the job done right.

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to different environments.
