Cofely are recruiting for a Security Administrator to be based in Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HU.
 
Security Administrator to be based at The University of London, in central London. You will work 38hrs per week in rolling roster (Day shift early-(0800
- 1600) and Day shift late-(1500
- 2100) Sat (0845
- 1645), however flexibility will be required due to operational requirements. There may be a requirement to work at various sites within the University portfolio or other Cofely sites however this will be discussed at interview stage.
 
This is a permanent full time role and on offer will be a salary circa £20,000 to £21,800 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).  This role will report into the Site Security Manager.
 
The main duties and responsibilities are:
To be responsible for providing an efficient ”front of house service” to visitors and employees
Maintaining a welcoming reception, reporting ant issues to the Security Supervisor.
To prevent unauthorised access into the building
Screening all incoming calls, enquiries and requests, ensuring the appropriate follow-through action
To provide escort duties-where required
Keeping reception areas clean and tidy at all levels
Liaise with Building Facilities Management team for visitor access
Liaise with the Facilities Management team when required should and problems/issues arise
Act as the central focal point for visitors and employees, dispensing relevant information and visitor badges where applicable
Act as the central point for directions for meeting room bookings
Responsible for Key control and adherence to BS7984
Responsible for ensuring signing in/out procedure is adhered to where applicable
To direct couriers and any deliveries to their drop off points
Booking taxis for the Facilities Management office
Providing administrative support to the Security Services team and client Facilities Management where applicable
Ensure that the Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) is up to date
To ensure the handover of any outstanding work
Taking membership (collecting cash) for Readers

Desired profile

Solid reception/administration, experience  preferably within Higher Education/University sector or Hotels
Excellent customer service and Client focus, understanding of expectations within the Client environment
Experience interfacing at high levels throughout an organisation
PC literate – understanding of how to use technology as a tool
Strong verbal and written communication  skills for communication directly with the Client and visitors and internally
For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
