Mission description Management Accountant
The Management Accountant’s mission is to oversee and manage financial accounting, month-end closing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting of the Surmac Guyane operations according French GAAP. The Management accountant supports the integration of Surmac Suriname and Surmac Guyane. Through weekly reporting and forecasting process and deployment of the ERP system NAXT and using the Power BI tool the management accountant participates in the further development of Surmac Guyane.
In addition, this role must manage internal controls and preparation of the annual Financial Statement according the French GAAP and the differences with IFRS reporting.
With plans for French companies to move to Suriname, this position will play a key role in their collaboration with Surmac Guyane.
The Management Accountant will be required to report on financial performance and thereby support decision making by helping to predict the sales performance. This includes performance related to P&L and improve financial processes.
Financial Performance Management
•Participate in identifying efficiencies opportunities and monitor the achievement of them for related services.
•Review actual cost vs budget/forecast & income generated by Surmac Guyane
•Provide dashboard with finance overview of all services in order to help Service Managers to evaluate their services P&L and take decisions.
•Provide financial aggregates and inputs to Management to support budget decision making
•Support the preparation of management reporting in Power Point
•Assist in budget preparation and control for the yearly plan and for the ongoing projects
Finance and Accounting Operations
•Act as the interface with the accounting department at Surmac Suriname/ Kersten Holding and Surmac Guyane
•Prepare, coordinate and communicate on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
•Report financial performance, analyze variance (budgeted costs versus actual costs) and support budget decision making
•Process and validate invoices and provide payment authorization to corporate finance for supplier / vendor payments
•Support the preparation of annual budgets and plan and follow up throughout the year.
Key Required Competencies
•Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and standards (French GAAP and IFRS)
•Strong understanding of the business supported (services sold, customers, cost structure, pricing, ongoing projects, efficiencies to generate...)
•Ability to analyze financial data and business KPIs to identify key issues and support decisions’ making
•Knowledge of ERP system integration of financial rules

Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in Finance
•Preferably 3-5 year experience in a Finance role in a company.
•Knowledge of French GAAP and IFRS
•Experience in preparation of Financial Statements according French GAAP and IFRS
•Financial operations control experience
Language ability
•Fluent in Dutch, English & French
Computer skills
•Experience with MS Office: Excel, Power point
•Knowledge of ERP systems and financial applications.
