The company

Coface supports the development of domestic and international trade through the provisions of credit insurance, protecting companies and banks against the risk of payment default by their customers. Coface offers whole turnover, single and political risk insurance, providing a comprehensive cover for both commercial and political risks.

Description of Coface Australia

Coface entered the Australian market in May 2000. In 2005 Coface Services (Australia) Pty Ltd was granted an ASIC AFSL License allowing us to market our trade credit products directly and via brokers. Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) granted Coface local insurer status on 1 July 2008. Coface Australia started operating as an APRA authorised local branch, subject to Australian regulatory rules. Our offices are in Sydney (main) and Melbourne and we have an agent in Auckland, NZ.

Quick description of the role

Assist the Enhanced Information Centre to perform all credit analysis and DRA related tasks according to specific process and rating delegations.

Detailed description of the mission

• Collect company information through research, phone interviews and/or field visits to get all relevant business information including latest financials for report writing and to assess their latest creditworthiness
• Credit research, analysis on financial ratios and situation, provide financial analysis, risk assessment to the company, with regular monitoring on company information to ensure information consistency
• Monitor special industry sectors to be assigned, produce reports on them and provide regular updated review on those sectors
• Deliver service quality in alignment with the agreed service level to ensure Coface’s competitiveness in the market place

• Provide input to manager to continuously improve procedures and workflow of the risk assessment quality
• Handle special projects and team assignments
• Handle enquiries from different internal departments

Candidate requirements

• Grande Ecole preferred
• Relevant experience in financial/ insurance industry (Political Risk Insurance industry/structured credit or Export Credit Agency industry is a plus)
• Fluent in English language
• Presentable with strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently yet a good team player
• Well-organized, meticulous and self-motivated
• Able to work under pressure

12-month contract, renewable once.
