Poste et missions:

1. Provide overall support for non-product categories (Indirect Procurement/Sourcing) of spend in Europe, Middle East & Africa Region ($1.03B of Indirect spend across the EMEA Region). The individual in this role will support the EMEA Indirect Procurement Director as his Corporate Procurement Leader in Germany. The individual will also support a cross-functional, multiple business unit team (Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace, and other newly added businesses on a going forward basis etc.) in all aspects of the UTC Corporate Indirect Procurement strategy in leveraging non-product (Indirect Procurement/Sourcing) spend in EMEA Region. Europe will remain the main focus in 2020 with top 4 markets: UK, Germany, Poland & France. The VIE will support primarily Germany as a country. This role will provide support to a cross functional business team in Europe, mainly supporting Indirect initiatives (all Indirect categories) in Germany with a solid-line report to the EMEA Corporate Indirect Procurement Director.

2. Core responsibilities include regional non-product supply-chain (Indirect Procurement – All categories), operational and spend analysis, development and execution of annual sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, supplier performance management & operational support. Key categories of focus include, but are not limited to Logistics, Facility Management, MRO, IT & Telecom, Contingent Workforce (Engineering Services & General Temp Labor), Professional Services, Fleet, CAPEX etc.

3. Utilize the UTC supply chain standard work & tools, collaborative sourcing systems & joint supplier selection process while supporting the regional business unit teams to ensure robust participation.

4. Support Indirect Procurement Director in leading frequent regional meetings (EMEA, Country & Category), project development, negotiation and project execution are key deliverables.

5. Support Indirect Procurement Director and his team in leading the development of clear Indirect Category strategies in cooperation with each UTC business unit regional operations teams, including the development and execution of savings within each category being managed.

6. Benchmark European markets in categories to incorporate into sourcing strategies and to share best practices.

7. Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and business trends in all Indirect categories and incorporate these trends, when appropriate, into the category’s strategic plan.

Profil:

EDUCATION: MA/MS degree with a first relevant Sourcing experience (preferred) in Direct or Indirect Procurement/Sourcing

REPORTING LINE: Strong line report to UTC Corporate Indirect Procurement Director

SOURCING SCOPE: Indirect Procurement scope, all Categories including but not limited to Logistics, Facility Management, IT & Telecom, Labor Services (Engineering Services & General Temp Labor), Professional Services, MRO, Fleet etc. $1.03B of Indirect spend at the EMEA level with a big focus on Germany

INDUSTRIES & PRODUCTS: Aerospace Systems & Engines. Aerospace will become prevalent as an Industry as UTC will become the 3rd largest firm worldwide for Civil Aviation & Defense with ~$80B of Revenue per annum on this industry only

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Proven ability to work in English and other languages such as German or others. Proven ability to exercise independent business judgment to drive strategy and results. Proven ability to work with a global team to achieve results through leadership & influence. Ability to excel in a dynamic environment, and to lead analysis and resolution of complex problems where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible variables. High expectation on identifying hard & smart worker for potential career & exciting growth within the company on a going forward basis
