CityMunch is an app that allows restaurants to offer discounts in real-time. For example, if it rains and a restaurant is empty, they can offer 40% off food to attract customers.
We are looking for someone to use predictive analytics to automatically suggest discounts to restaurants based on variables like the weather, location, cuisine type and time. You would be working with our existing large data-set (thousands of discounts taken by customers, hundreds of restaurants) and new data that you can find externally (weather data from APIs, restaurant data available on the internet and through the government's open data-sets, etc.).
We think this is a project that could deliver interesting results, make restaurants busier, and save customers more money.
