Cisco is currently looking for a number of talented technical sales people to work as Pre-Sales Engineer’s within the UKI Sales organisation. The ideal candidate will ideally hold a CCNA or CCNP or CCDP and have pre-sales experience within one of the following Cisco Architectures: Collaboration, Borderless – Routing, Switching, Security or Wireless or Data Centre. The roles will be spread across our Partner Organisation, Service Provider, Public Sector, & Enterprise Accounts. Ideally you will need to be based at our Bedfont Lakes, City or Reading offices covering a territory within the UK.
Responsibilities:
You will partner with our Account Executives in a Pre-Sales technical role, showcasing Cisco product solutions-setting up demonstrations and explaining features and benefits to customers-and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs. Gain access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in a variety of vertical markets. In additional to technological aptitude, and the ability to learn quickly and stay current, the ideal candidate's interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting skills evoke passion and confidence.
-Direct account and partner responsibilities for selected accounts in assigned territory.
-Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services.
-Provide technical and sales support for accounts in assigned territory
-Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
-Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.
Qualification & Experience required.
-Must have 2+ years, Pre-Sales or Network Engineering related experience.
-Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent.
-Ideally you will hold a CCNA, CCNP or CCDP certification.
-In-depth knowledge in at least one area of specialization. (Collaboration, Borderless – Routing, Switching, Security or Wireless or Data Centre experience.
-Must have customer facing experience.
-Competitive knowledge (in their area of specialization) including solution, technology and product offerings.
-Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
-Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
-Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member.
-Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.
