PostDoc position in Radiopharmaceutical Sciences
at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and the Ludwig Institute of Cancer Research (LICR) attached to the Department of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular ImagingMissionIn our newly established group, the major focus lies on the design, synthesis, in-depth preclinical evaluation and -ideally- rapid clinical translation of targeted probes for in vivo imaging and theranostic applications in the wider context of immuno-oncology. This includes not only the use and further exploitation and evaluation of established theranostic concepts such as CXCR4-targeted agents within the framework of immunotherapies and combination therapies, but primarily the identification of novel targets for selective imaging of specific immune cell populations in the tumor microenvironment and subsequent tracer development and optimization. The overarching goal of these efforts is the development of imaging tools for improved patient selection in the context of immune therapies in different cancer entities.ProfilEssential experience and skills: 

You have a PhD in organic chemistry, radiopharmaceutical chemistry or similar & nbsp
You are highly experienced in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry, including SPPS
You have previous experience with radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control
You have a track record of academic publications, including writing/drafting first author papers
You have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written
You have a positive, interactive and agile mindset and enjoy continuously expanding you experimental and theoretical competencies

Desirable experience and skills:

Practical experience with cell culture and in vitro assays
Practical experience in molecular biology
Practical experience with animal models and in vivo imaging
Theoretical knowledge of pharmacology and human physiology
Experience with general radiation safety or hazardous material handling
