About the role

We’re looking for a commercially astute and personable individual to join our successful and growing land buying team based in the South West. We are based in Ringwood and have just opened a new satellite office in Exeter to continue our expansion into the Devon and Cornwall. You will be working closely with the Land Manager in Exeter acquiring sites across South Devon and Cornwall. You will be working closely with the rest of the land team in Ringwood, as well our planning, construction and design teams on a day to day basis.

Excitingly, you will have the opportunity to help the company grow through the acquisition of new sites and you will see your efforts rewarded with successful planning applications and customers who love their independent, safe and secure home - knowing you’ve had a part to play in this. Responsibilities include:

• Undertaking detailed reviews of settlements

• Finding new sites for CRL to purchase

• Appraising those sites, undertaking due diligence and negotiating the purchase of them

• Liaising with the other departments internally throughout the purchase-to-sale process.

• Providing support to the Senior Land Buyer and manager of the team

• Maintaining our reputation and improving it within the regional property market

About you

You’ll need to have experience of analysing data, negotiating and presenting, and ideally will have experience within the property sector. We will provide you with the in-house training should you not have previous experience within the sector. You will be a driven individual with a hunger for success, and will enjoy meeting targets and overcoming challenges.

• Proven negotiation, communications and organisational skills

• Degree qualified (preferred) and/or a member of RICS or RTPI

• Experience of Property Sector and in particular housing/retirement/care sub-sectors

• Strong analytical and reporting writings skills

• Ability to influence decisions using appropriate methods and facts

• Commercially focussed and outcome orientated

• Ideally have a good knowledge of Devon and Cornwall
