Chopstix Noodle Bar is an Oriental quick-service take a way restaurant brand with over 45 sites across the UK and The Republic of Ireland. Founded in 2004, the Chopstix Group has grown into a unique brand-led quick-service restaurant brand blending the best fusion of authentic Oriental inspired fast food with casual, convenient dining experiences on offer at affordable prices. In addition, Chopstix’s chefs cook the food on the site to ensure each dish is served as fresh as possible which delivers “chef theatre”.
The Group is set to continue the franchise expansion of Chopstix which focuses on fresh, nutritious tasty Oriental cuisine from the finest ingredients and most innovative fusion recipes to the health conscious, time strapped public.
Internship program
This is an (unpaid) internship for a student or young graduate for immediate start looking to break into public relations and communications with Chopstix Noodle Bar, and exciting and growing quick-service restaurant brand. At Chopstix, we are passionate about supporting young talent and to help them discover their specific skills set through by creating innovative focused marketing solutions and retaining project management.
Please note this is an unpaid internship for a period of 6- to 9 months (expenses not covered) that could lead to a paid contract.

Location: Hammersmith/Golders Green, London (We are currently based in Hammersmith but after July/Augustus we will move to Golders Green)

Remuneration: None, unpaid
Tasks & Responsibilities:
These following tasks will be performed under supervision initially, with the goal to make the trainee more autonomous.
• PR Campaign Management
o Drafting press releases and sending them out through the right channels
o Managing the follow up procedures with journalists and publications
o Co-ordinating events, key contacts, venues, dates, times, media and communication timing
o Regularly updating the Chopstix leadership team on media opportunities and suggesting new and innovative approaches for increased brand exposure
• Social Media Management
o Owning the Chopstix Social Media channels and strategy
o Regularly posting on the Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn channels and maintaining interaction with followers with the goal to increase the Chopstix online community
• Communications
o Writing newsletters and weekly blogs for the website focusing both on the B2C and B2B (franchise expansion) aspect
o Coordination and planning support for exhibitions
o Working with designers and printers to create any communication/marketing collateral
o Preparation of presentations and collateral for any events
Desired profile
Requirements:
• Qualification in Marketing & Communications (or similarly oriented degree)
• Full professional proficiency in English (native or bi-lingual)
• Strong creative writing skills
• Outstanding organisational and planning skills
• Professional and comfortable in client facing situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Multi-tasker, initiative taker, friendly, team player, sensitive to cultural differences
Position to be filled immediately
