VIE Financial Controller (including Watches & Fine Jewellery) – May 2025
Your role @ Chanel:
Chanel Benelux is the distribution entity for the three divisions of the House (Fragrance & Beauty, Fashion, and Watches & Fine Jewellery) in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. As Financial/Business Controller, you will be part of our Benelux FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Department, based in Brussels, Belgium. This is a one-year contract renewable for one year.
What impact you can create at Chanel:
Fashion and Watches & Fine Jewellery
You will provide direct support to the FA and W&FJ Financial Controller on the following tasks.
Business Controlling
· Submission of Sales & Stock forecast into our internal reporting tool (i.e. FAST) for FA and W&FJ
· Loading of financial forecasts into our European consolidation tool (i.e. CRAFT)
· Reporting of Headcount and FTEs in the dedicated system (GPM)
· Analysis of W&FJ actual expenses vs forecast
· Monthly reconciliation of W&FJ sales and reporting of sales details to the W&FJ BI team
· Analysis of the W&FJ sales by distribution channel, by line and by month
· Analysis of W&FJ sell-in and sell-out figures
· Ensuring the timely invoicing of W&FJ orders in collaboration with Supply
· Elaboration of the W&FJ budget presentation
Internal Control
· Monthly review of cash payments in Fashion boutiques in relation to legal and internal requirements
· Monthly monitoring of cycle count reports (reconciliation, review of exceptional movements, RFID results…)
· Monitoring of product loans and quarterly checks on Press and W&FJ stock
F&B, Reporting and Presentations
· Responsible for monthly F&B turnover communications to Europe in collaboration with the Sales team, to the EBI team, and to third parties
· Analysis and ad hoc support on the F&B division and on Corporate topics
· Maintenance of the three-division Weekly Turnover PowerBI and communication to the Direction Committee with detailed comments on the weekly performance
· Preparation of presentations on the turnover of the three divisions for the Management Committee or for the Benelux employees
Systems
· Automation of W&FJ reporting tools in the Benelux
· Process and tools optimization, development of new analysis and reporting tools for the FP&A Department (SCORE for HR, SMG&A Dashboard…)
· Support on automation and simplification internal projects (“Finance of the Future”)
What you will bring to the team:
· Graduate with a Master degree from Business school or University
· Successful corporate first experience: 1-3 years in Controlling or Audit
· Available starting from Avril 2025
Skills
· French and English are MANDATORY . Dutch is a plus.
· Very good knowledge of MS-Office, especially Excel.
· Good knowledge of PowerBI and PowerQuery.

The candidate must fulfil the VIE conditions
· Age: Be between 18 and 28 years old at the time of application.
· Nationality: Hold citizenship of a European Economic Area (EEA) country.
· Residency: Must not have previously participated in a VIE or VIA (Volontariat International en Administration).
