To achieve this, we need to uphold high-quality and safe data, build robust analytics and insights capabilities, and foster a culture of data-enabled decision making across all aspects of the business. In this context, we are growing our Data Office to provide services throughout the entire data lifecycle. 

 

We are looking for a talented Senior Data Governance Analyst to take part of this transformation journey and achieve our ambition.  You will act as a subject-matter expert supporting the deployment of a Data Governance framework and key Data initiatives in the APAC region.  

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

Reporting to the Data Governance Manager APAC, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing a Global Data Governance framework covering Data Ownership, Critical Data Elements and Data Quality, among other aspects.  

 

He/she will also provide data analysis helping the House to improve its data management practices and business processes. 

 

Data Ownership Framework  

· 
Assist with the identification of data owners and stewards and ensure adoption of the framework. 

· 
Support them throughout their data governance maturity journey. 

 

Critical Data Elements  

· 
 Define the scope of the data that will be under the governance framework with the priority on Critical Data Elements. 

· 
Ensure standards and policies are defined for Critical Data Elements. 

 

Data Quality Management  

· 
Work with business stakeholders to identify and facilitate the production of Data Quality Rules and Data Quality Reporting. 

· 
Identify processes that generates data quality issues and provide analysis and recommendations. 

· 
Responsible for leading the identification, recording and remediation of data quality issues. 

 

Projects  

· 
Provide support as required on data related projects such as, but not limited to, migration activities for coming ERP Transformation program. 

Role Specifications :  

 

Academic/Professional Qualifications  

· 
Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or related field, or equivalent. 

· 
Data governance / data management professional certification is an advantage. 

 

Work Experience  

· 
Minimum 5 years’ experience with at least 3 years of direct experience in a Data-Governance/Management or prior experience as a Business Analyst working alongside data teams. 

· 
Experience in Retail is an advantage.  

· 
Audit or consulting experience is an advantage. 

· 
Fluent in English is a must and fluent in Mandarin or other Asian language are an advantage. 

 

Required Competencies  

· 
Understanding of key concepts such as Data Catalog, ETL, Data Quality and MDM. 

· 
Excellent problem solving and communication/presentation skills to translate business needs into a data solution. 

· 
Ability to adapt your language to your stakeholders to ensure complex concepts are well understood across the organization. 

· 
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build consensus. 

· 
Strong analytical skill and ability to produce data insights out of large datasets. 

· 
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications. 

· 
Ability to use data analytics tools (SQL, Power BI…) is an advantage. 

· 
Good data quality or similar level data analysis experience required. 

· 
Demonstrate determination to achieve goals over time and resilient to pressure.
