Retail Learning & Development Trainer, Norway

We are now looking for a Retail Learning & Development Trainer, who will be responsible for training and coaching of Beauty Advisors to the benefit of boutique business. Through local execution of corporate strategy, you will train the Beauty Advisors to become ambassadors of Brand culture, values and products. Your role is to deliver the training path, enable Beauty Advisors to enhance Client Experience and develop skills to engage our Clients. 

As part of the Scandinavian training team, you translate and execute the corporate training strategy. You define the roll-out plan to best contribute to business growth, answering to the needs of the boutiques through selling skills, product training and active coaching. You will spend about 80% of your time in the boutiques, between coaching and in-store training in small groups.

The position is based in Oslo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Retail Learning & Development Trainer you will lead a culture of in-store coaching. Through active listening and observation, you will coach individual Beauty Advisors at all levels according to their needs.

You will support in building individual coaching plans after performing gap analysis and coach their Beauty Advisors on selling skills through coaching. With a strong focus on KPIs as performance indicators, you will educate the Beauty Advisors in methods of growing and sustaining:

·  Conversion Rate
·  Units per Transaction (UPT)
·  Price per Unit (PPU)
·  Average Basket Size

You will drive key training initiatives through active and sustained in-store coaching, contributing to the culture of shop-floor focus and positive recognition. You will actively facilitate product training, including new launches for Beauty Advisors. Develop skills of “style building” combining product information with selling skills to optimize cross & up-selling. You will leverage on role-play and on-the-floor coaching to enhance the benefits to the Client.

You will manage and monitor the quality and impact of all in-store training via follow up, maintaining an active shop floor presence to observe subsequent implementation and ensure true retention of training contents.

You will provide on-going feedback to Beauty Advisors on the performance/progress on a regular basis and ensure that this population have full visibility on training activities (progress, required actions, concerns etc.) making recommendations as needed.

You will facilitate and ensure a consistent on-boarding for all new starters and liaise with HR to ensure proactive planning for new employees.

You act as a platform for sharing of experience / best practices among the stores pertaining to the coaching initiatives/programs. Also, you lead by example in terms of the company’s policies and procedures and demonstrate high credibility in relation building activities.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

·  You have above 2 years coaching / job training experiences
·  3 years field working experience in luxury beauty industry
·  Field training experience is preferred
·  You demonstrate excellent observation and listening skills and express yourself clearly and engagingly
·  You are very experienced in coaching and training and are passionate about developing others to achieve high performance.
·  You are fluent in English and Norwegian

THE ORGANISATION

You will become part of an affiliate that has been established for a year, and which requires employees with an entrepreneurial mind-set, ability to operate within defined corporate guidelines, and a strong team orientation. In total, the organisation will comprise approx. 100 people across Scandinavia incl. Retail, Sales, Marketing, and Corporate functions.
