About the job...

This role is responsible for daily support of CHANEL's import and customs compliance operations, including but not limited to – product classification, fashion import regulations, proforma invoice processing/controls, special materials, and communications with brokers/forwarders/agents on all of CHANEL's supply chain flows inbound.

Leveraging your unique experiences, CHANEL will enable you to...

· 
Perform Customs Line Reviews for all Chanel Divisions

· 
Classify and research all inbound Chanel product in line with US Customs Regulations and HTS Chapter Notes.

· 
Ensure all special material products have required documentation and details required prior to import/export. (Fish & Wildlife materials, FDA Details, TSCA, Lacey Act)

· 
Support FUR Labeling (Utilizing US FUR Products Labeling Act.)

· 
Manage the documentation of CHANEL's Supplier Details

· 
General Administrative support for: High Jewelry Loan Program, CHANEL’s Trade Attorney, Divisional communication around requirements and controlled compliance program.

· 
Partnership with global customs compliance teams related to product classification, manufacturing processes, and special materials as well as solutioning recurrent inbound customs concerns.

· 
Manage Customs Form 28 requests (official customs inquiries).

· 
Problem Solve import shipment issues with forwarder / custom broker.

· 
Maintain consistent communication with CHANEL divisions regarding their shipments

What you can bring to the team...

· 
2 years of customs professional experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree

· 
Knowledge of US Customs Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and import regulations.

· 
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

· 
Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Expertise

· 
Fresh ideas for future procedures and processes
