Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: We’re looking for a Workday Business Application Analyst to join our team in Bangalore

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities – Workday Payroll Consultant
Configure and support Workday Payroll modules for US and Canada, including earnings, deductions, taxes, retro calculations, payroll processing, and payroll-related business processes.
Perform end-to-end payroll processing activities, including validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting payroll discrepancies, and ensuring timely payroll completion.
Analyze and resolve payroll production issues, employee pay discrepancies, tax-related issues, and retroactive payroll adjustments.
Execute and manage EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) loads ranging from simple to complex data uploads and corrections.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and support payroll integrations with upstream and downstream vendor systems, ensuring seamless data flow and issue resolution.
Handle day-to-day ticket and inbox management activities using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow while adhering to SLA timelines.
Create, manage, and track user stories, defects, enhancements, and tasks in Agile project environments using Jira.
Develop, customize, and maintain Workday standard and custom reports to support payroll operations, audits, reconciliations, and business reporting needs.
Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors to gather requirements, provide functional solutions, and ensure smooth payroll operations.
Support payroll compliance activities for US and Canadian payroll regulations, tax updates, and statutory requirements.
Work closely with Time Tracking and Absence Management teams to ensure accurate payroll inputs and integration alignment.
Participate in Agile Pod ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, testing, and release activities.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring payroll and integration issues and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
Support testing activities including unit testing, regression testing, parallel payroll testing, and UAT for payroll enhancements and releases.
Maintain process documentation, knowledge articles, SOPs, and configuration documents related to payroll operations and support activities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must Have:
Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience performing the following tasks in Workday:
• Workday Payroll configuration and support (US & Canada: earnings, deductions, taxes, retro, payroll processing)
• Payroll processing support, troubleshooting issues, and reconciliation of payrolls.
• Executing EIB loads (simple to complex)
• Monitoring and troubleshooting payroll integrations (upstream/downstream vendors)
• Inbox/ticket management (JIRA, ServiceNow)
• Creating and managing Stories/tasks in JIRA
• Developing and maintaining Workday reports (standard and custom)
Nice to Have:
• Workday Payroll certification
• Understanding of Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management and how this connects to payroll.
• Experience with US and Canadian payroll compliance
• Stakeholder management (HR, Payroll, IT)
• Experience working in Agile Pods
