Web Portal Developer

Position Description
Be part of something dynamic! With 40 years in the Space industry, our business is growing with exciting projects and prospects across the Earth Observation, Satellite Navigation, Satcoms and Spacecraft Operations domains.

We are currently looking to recruit a web portal developer to develop geospatial websites for Earth Observation projects, generally involving the utilisation of satellite imagery. Your future duties and responsibilities
You will involved in developing online portals to provide easy access and use of Earth Observation data from multiple satellite missions and to provide climate data and tools to monitor and understand climate change.

You will be involved in client presentations and rapid-prototyping Required qualifications to be successful in this role
We are looking for staff with good experience in web portal development, following on from a degree on Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or similar.
The essential skills required are:
• UI design and development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• A JavaScript framework (AngularJS, React)
• Intuitive UX design - ideally in a Geospatial environment
• Web API services (REST)

High Desirable skills
• Build tools (Webpack, Gulp, Grunt)
• OpenLayers, Leaflet, D3.js
• Testing framework (KARMA, Jasmine, Protractor, Jest, Selenium)
• Experience of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Website Services (WMS, WMTS, WFS, WCS, WPS);
• Open API
• Opensearch
• Examples of previously created portals would be beneficial..
Additionally, a knowledge of relational databases systems (PostgreSQL) would be desirable, as would familiarity with the Agile Scrum development approach. Build your career with us.
