Position Description
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI Federal. We are seeking an Systems Administrator to support operations at Ft. Leavenworth, KS.

The Systems Administrator:
i. Operates under guidance from a Lead that is both specific and non-specific.
ii. Serves as a subject matter expert in specialty areas, systems administration, simulation tools and technologies, information management, data collection, databases, and AAR systems.

Your future duties and responsibilities
a. Work consists of implementing operating system baselines, applying required patches, and maintaining systems in accordance with RMF standards. Is responsible for system troubleshooting methods to quickly analyze problems and develop solutions to get systems operational again.
b. The Modeling and Simulations (M&S) Integrator is responsible for all aspects of systems integration and administration including networks, applications, databases, and telecommunications. This includes:
i. Implement, configure, coordinate, control, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures.
ii. Perform basic systems security administration functions, including creating customer profiles and accounts, monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, tape backup systems; performs systems backups and recovery procedures; writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems; maintains system documentation and logs; performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems; maintain network security authentication including IP telephony security, application security; administer secure links with public key encryption, anti-virus, user authentication; provide monitoring and primary response and intervention for information technology related security incidents and violations; keep current with new security and network monitoring technologies, applicable laws and regulations.
iii. Prepare cost analyses for proposed systems changes or developments.
iv. Apply software patches as required or in response to IAVAs with respect to operating systems in use: MS, Windows 7 and 10, Server 2012/2012R2, and Linux 6, Enterprise Linux 6 workstation.
v. Install, configure and troubleshoot OneSAF software.
vi. Assist with the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures for the Operational Environment Laboratory.
c. Assist with maintaining computer and network systems to DIACAP standards to insure compliance with all DoD, DoA, and DOIM regulations and guidelines.
d. Assist cluster coordinator for exercise events on BLCSE network. Bring up all systems in one or more clusters on a daily basis in support of exercise events. Troubleshoot and fix problems to insure all systems are operational for the exercise.
e. Perform other duties as assigned including lifting up to 250 pounds with another employee and up to 50 pounds alone to conduct routine reconfiguration of the lab and its assets.
f. Work closely with other members of the team to ensure work requirements are coordinated and are accomplished in accordance with event timelines.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
a. Bachelors in computer science, network administration, or similar degree AND 5 years' experience are required for this role. At the government's discretion, additional experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement.
b. Current Security+ certification which must be maintained for the duration of the contract.
c. Current certification for Windows 7, Configuring (MS 70-680), and Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Support Technician (MS 70-685) which must be maintained for the duration of the contract.
d. 5 or more years experience with MS, Windows 7 and Windows 10, Server 2012/2012R2, and Enterprise Linux 6 workstation.
e. Experience with constructive simulation software such as OneSAF, Corps Battle Simulation, etc.
f. Experience with installing, maintaining, operating, and Cisco network equipment.
g. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
h. Place of duty is on client site with core duty hours 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; periods of surge and hours in excess of 40 hours per week may occur; and during 24 hour operations employee must be able to perform all duties and responsibilities listed herein as shift work requires.

• Active Secret TS/SCI clearance required to begin work, with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance required
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
