Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking Supply Technicians to support FBI/AMU in Quantico, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Serve as a Supply Technician for the Operational Technology Division (OTD) responsible for the Inventory Management and disposal of Division assets.
• Perform a variety of inventory management functions related to a large quantity of items including; high value assets, technical equipment, audio/visual equipment, office furniture, computer equipment, vehicles, and miscellaneous supplies.
• The Supply Technician is expected to exercise sound judgment to ensure that administrative and operational functions involving assets continue without interruption. Create and/or update official documentation related to the accurate accounting of assets, equipment, supplies, and furniture for the Division. As well as provide instructions and support to other inventory technicians/support.
• Provide technical guidance to inventory personnel and supply technicians to ensure adherence to established procedures and accuracy in inventory management, upon acquiring comprehensive knowledge of division specific policies and systems.
• Must be able to effectively report any discrepancies in person, verbally and/or in writing. Must be able to communicate with internal Division personnel and external vendors/partners according to established procedures/protocols.
• Must be able and willing to interpret and implement DOJ/FBI inventory management regulations and policies to fulfill property objectives and goals for the Division.
• Collaborate with and/or assist Shipping & Receiving personnel as well as other division employees and contractors, to support asset related activities including inspection, preparation, packing and coordination for relocation or disposal. Pack and/or crate items in accordance with established policies and procedures; prepare or edit shipping documents; coordinate delivery or pickup; and obtain proof of delivery and/or proof of receipt.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet overlapping deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, division personnel, and external partners to support operational objectives.
• Knowledge of procedures for locating, tracking, and reporting the assignment, condition, and location of division assets, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to provide regular status updates and reports to supervisor as required.
• Willingness and ability to learn and apply documented policies, procedures and
regulatory guidelines, as outlined in hard copy or electronic manuals, vendor publications, job aids, and reference materials.
• Strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues lacking established procedures, while seeking appropriate approvals before proceeding with tasks requiring oversight.
• Working knowledge of inventory management principles and experience with asset tracking systems is preferred. Willingness and ability to learn division specific inventory systems is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support division operations and mission requirements.
Physical Demands
• Work is performed in an office, storeroom, or warehouse where routine safety precautions are required.
• Work requires periods of sitting or standing; with some periods of repeated physical exertion such as bending, reaching, and lifting of moderately heavy packages and objects such as furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• May be required to lift to 50 pounds.
Hourly Rate: $38.21/hour
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level, relevant experience and training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
