Storage Migration Engineer

Position Description
As a NetApp Migration Engineer, the candidate will engage in a high-energy and tech savvy world. We are looking for an individual who has exceptional interpersonal skills, is customer service focused, and has a proven track record of delivering “best in class” Storage Migration services on NetApp Storage Infrastructure. As a Migration Engineer, the candidate must have the ability to guide and deploy Migration solutions that solve critical problems for our clients.
The candidate will be working with our client base of Fortune 500 companies to design and deploy storage Migrations solutions based NetApp storage solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Assisting Fortune 500 clients in design and deployment of data migration solutions
Migration design, planning, and execution
Migration source storage data and infrastructure analysis
Migration target storage infrastructure analysis and data placement design
Storage Tiering and data placement architecture design
Data Reorganization design
Data Migration Execution
Troubleshooting Migration issues as required

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in fast paced and stressful environments.
• Ability to work 40+ hours a week including Saturdays and Sundays if scheduled.
• Ability to lead planning calls with customers intended to review project goals and objectives, documenting solutions and gaining customer acceptance.
• Experience in designing and executing large NAS data migrations
• CIFS, NFS, and multiprotocol expertise
• ACL Conversion expertise
• NetApp ONTAP Performance Management experience
• Experience with the following migration tools:
o StorageX, DataDobi, PeerSync, XCP, 7MTT, Rsync, Robocopy, LVM
• Ability to perform migration troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Ability to perform network infrastructure and storage system troubleshooting.
• Prior experience designing and executing data migrations with storage platforms such as NetApp, EMC, HP, IBM, Pure, Nutanix, and others.
• This position requires high performance in fast paced environments with little to no down time.
• This position requires excellent oral and written communications skills.
• The candidate for this position must be punctual, and able to work with minimal guidance.

• ACL Conversion
• Data Compliance
• ONTAP Performance Analysis
• Migration Troubleshooting
• Storage & Infratructure Troubleshooting

• IP Infrastructure
• IP Storage
• Project Leadership – ability to lead engagement
