Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced/hands on Lead Snowflake ETL Data Engineer who excels in SQL development and possesses strong leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will proactively drive solutions, lead technical initiatives, and communicate effectively across multiple teams. Experience with Snowflake is highly desirable.
This Role can be performed in a hybrid model on the client site in Atlanta, GA. Canidates in Alpharetta, GA and Plano, TX can be considered, but Atlanta is preferred.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL.
• Lead the ETL development team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries and ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL process issues, ensuring data integrity.
• Prepare and maintain necessary documentation.
• Participate in regular SAFe agile ceremonies, such as program increment planning, daily standups, team backlog grooming, iteration retrospectives, team demos and inspect & adapt, etc.
• Keep up with the committed features and stories in the team backlog.
• Work with the project manager/scrum master to remove impediments.
• Act as a proactive problem solver, initiating improvements and enhancements to data processes.
• Attend whiteboard sessions at client site as needed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Expert-level SQL development skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams or projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive self-starter who can effectively manage priorities and deadlines.
• Familiarity with modern ETL tools and frameworks.
• Experience working with Snowflake or other cloud data warehousing platforms.
• Certification in SQL or related technologies.
Familiarity with SAFe Agile or Agile Scrum development methodology.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $123,400.00.
