Position Description:

Must be bi-lingual (French/English), able to work hybrid in Montreal client site.

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Telecom QA / Test Specialist to act as a senior consultant embedded directly with the client, supporting quality assurance initiatives within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. The role operates within an Agile Release Train (ART) composed of multiple cross-functional teams, requiring both hands-on testing expertise and the ability to influence quality practices at a program level.

You will play a critical role in ensuring system integrity across complex telecom provisioning systems within an OSS/BSS ecosystem, while driving alignment, consistency, and quality outcomes across teams on the train.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Planning
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, test cases, and scripts for NPPP applications.
• Define testing scope, objectives, and success criteria aligned with business requirements and technical specifications.
• Contribute to Program Increment (PI) planning, ensuring QA scope and dependencies are clearly defined across teams.

Functional, Regression & Integration Testing
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing across mainframe-based telecom systems.
• Validate provisioning logic, circuit assignment workflows, and network inventory updates.
• Coordinate cross-team integration testing within the ART to ensure end-to-end system validation.

Defect Management & Quality Control
• Identify, document, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.
• Lead or contribute to cross-team defect triage and ensure alignment on prioritization across the train.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.

AI-Driven Testing & Automation
• Leverage AI testing tools to enhance coverage, predictive defect detection, and execution efficiency.
• Design and implement automated test solutions, including robust framework (RBF) methodologies.
• Promote standardization of automation practices across multiple teams within the ART.

Database Validation & Analysis
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate backend data integrity.
• Analyze database records to ensure accurate provisioning and assignment outcomes.

Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain detailed documentation of test execution, defects, and system behavior.
• Provide program-level reporting, including quality metrics, risks, and trends across teams.
• Support ART-level dashboards (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, automation rates).

SAFe & Cross-Team Collaboration
• Act as a senior QA consultant within an Agile Release Train, collaborating with multiple Scrum teams.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, System Demos, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
• Work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and network operations teams.
• Drive quality best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the train.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years of experience in telecom system testing, preferably within OSS/BSS environments.
• Strong domain knowledge of telecom provisioning, circuit assignment, and network inventory management.
• Proven experience working as a consultant in client-facing roles.
• Hands-on experience operating within a SAFe Agile environment, ideally within an ART structure spanning multiple teams.
• Proficiency in AI-based testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks, including RBF (Reusable Business Functions).
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation and backend analysis.
• Familiarity with mainframe systems and telecom workflows.
• Experience with SAFe Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills in both English and French.
• Preferred Attributes
• Experience influencing program-level QA strategy across multiple Agile teams.
• Ability to manage dependencies and risks across teams within an ART.
• Exposure to telecom transformation programs or large-scale OSS modernization initiatives
