Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

. SAS Development: Develop, test, debug, and maintain complex SAS programs, macros, and stored processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources. Create and optimize SAS Enterprise Guide projects, flows, and tasks for data manipulation, reporting, and automation. Design and implement data quality checks and validation procedures within SAS programs. Generate custom reports, dashboards, and analytical output using SAS tools and procedures Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation requirements.
. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform ad-hoc data analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making. Automate routine data processes and report generation tasks.
. Unix/Linux Environment Management: Navigate and manage files/directories within Unix/Linux operating systems. Write and execute basic shell scripts for job scheduling, file transfers, and system monitoring. Monitor SAS jobs and processes running on Unix/Linux servers.
. Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate and resolve data-related issues, program errors, and performance bottlenecks. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on SAS applications and data availability.
. Collaboration & Documentation: Work effectively within a team environment, actively participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for SAS programs, data dictionaries, and process flows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

. Technology Expertise: Strong proficiency in SAS programming (Base SAS, SAS/MACRO, SAS/SQL). Extensive experience with SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting. Foundational understanding and practical experience with Unix/Linux command line for file management and basic scripting. Should have knowledge of Git, Jira
. Technical Skills: Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL. Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Ability to troubleshoot SAS programs and data issues effectively.
. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

. Deep understanding of SAS architecture, including Metadata Server, Object Spawner, Workspace Servers, SAS Web Application Server (e.g., Tomcat), and associated components.
. Proficiency in SAS Management Console (SMC) for user, server, and metadata administration.
. Strong expertise in Unix/Linux operating systems, including shell scripting, file system management, and process monitoring.
. Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms such as LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos, and SAML.
. Experience with database concepts and SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) as they relate to SAS connectivity and data sources.
. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple layers of a SAS environment.
. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written).
. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must Have Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Base SAS and SAS programming

Experience in writing complex SAS queries, macros, and data step programming

Good knowledge of SQL and data manipulation techniques

Experience in data analysis, reporting, and data validation

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts

Experience in handling large datasets and performance tuning

Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands

Good problem-solving and debugging skills

Good to Have Skills:

Experience with SAS Advanced tools (SAS Macro, SAS/STAT, SAS/ACCESS)

Exposure to SAS EG (Enterprise Guide) or SAS Studio

Experience in ETL processes and data integration

Knowledge of reporting tools and dashboarding

Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis

Understanding of data governance and data quality practices

Experience in banking, healthcare, or clinical domain

Exposure to scheduling tools like Autosys or Control-M
