Job Description – QA Automation Engineer (Java + Playwright + AI)
Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Java, Playwright, and AI-based testing solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable automation frameworks, implementing UI/API automation, and leveraging AI capabilities to improve testing efficiency and quality assurance processes.

 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Playwright
Develop automated test scripts for web applications and APIs
Implement AI-driven testing solutions for test optimization and defect prediction
Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure product quality
Analyze test execution results and troubleshoot automation issues
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Maintain test data, reports, and automation documentation
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint activities
Continuously improve automation coverage and testing processes

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
3+ years of experience in automation testing
Strong hands-on experience with Java programming
Expertise in Playwright automation framework
Understanding of AI concepts in testing and automation
Experience with UI and API testing methodologies
Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Technical Skills
Programming Language: Java
Automation Tool: Playwright
Testing Types: UI Testing, API Testing, Regression Testing
AI Exposure: AI-based Test Automation / Intelligent Testing Tools
Build Tools: Maven / Gradle
Version Control: Git
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Methodology: Agile / Scrum
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Selenium or other automation frameworks is an advantage
Exposure to cloud testing platforms preferred
Knowledge of REST API automation tools is a plus
Experience in Banking, Healthcare, or Enterprise applications preferred"
