The Team: Managed Security Services (MSS) team includes SOCs, deployment and support, business management, and business growth teams. Technical environment: We use top-ranked industry-leading security tools and technologies – incorporating several security technologies for each of our multiple services. MSS has an on-site technology lab which all our members can use for installation trials and proof-of-concepts, training, testing and trouble-shooting.

The Opportunity: We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Managed Security Services (MSS) team as a Web Content Filtering Security Specialist. The Web Content Filtering Security Specialist is an IT Security professional responsible for deploying and supporting security technologies for clients in a large enterprise environment. The successful candidate for this position enjoys working in a dynamic fast-paced collaborative team environment and interacting with clients. We are seeking a self-starter who enjoys learning and keeping abreast of new technology trends.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to the following)

• Configuration, deployment and support of client security Web Content Filtering infrastructure components (security technologies) in collaboration with peers in other CGI teams.

• Maintain and Support Web Content Filtering platforms

• Provide technical support and maintenance Trouble-shooting and resolution of incidents, in collaboration with teammates as required.
• Produce and update related technical documentation.
• Develop and evolve process and standard operating procedures for new and existing managed security service offerings.
• Provide input to the Project Manager to create and update project plans.
• Works effectively on several concurrent client and/or internal initiatives.
• Perform validation testing as part of the transition of the security solution into production.
• Transfer knowledge to colleagues via delivery of training courses and clear concise documentation.
• Provide feedback to our Service Evolution team on service improvement opportunities.
• Provide off-hours on call support on a rotation basis.
• Maintain awareness of trends in technology, and operational requirements. Your future duties and responsibilities
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Experience and Education:

• 3-5 years of IT experience with practical experience.
• Related post-secondary education would be a definite asset.
• Computer Systems Technology diploma
• Knowledge of various security technologies
• Strong troubleshooting, reasoning and problem solving skills.
• Ability to speak and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
• Team player, good time-management and organizational skills and ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to deal with aggressive timelines and the associated pressure.
• Ability to speak and write in English
• Ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance of Level II (Secret).Desirable:

Knowledge/experience in one or more of the following:

• Web Content Filtering Systems Administration
• File Integrity Management (FIM)
• Strong Authentication
• Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Database Activity Monitoring (DAM)
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Security certifications such as: CISSP, SANS GIAC such as GCFW, GCIA, GCWN.
• Windows\Linux Server Administration
