You must already hold, or be eligible to hold, the appropriate level of UK Security Clearance to be considered.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Scrum Master you will be working with our Agile practitioners across the UK. You will be responsible for pioneering, defining, governing and evolving the Agile practice within our engineering centres, working closely with the engineering teams and leads to provide the most effective delivery processes.
On a day to day basis you will be heavily involved in delivery of projects – ensuring appropriate and efficient delivery of prioritised work.
You will facilitate all aspects of the Scrum framework including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily scrums, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives. Also you will be responsible for maintaining the Scrum team capacity plan, Scrum board (Kanban), sprint backlog, velocity charts and burn down charts. The Scrum Master is critical in identifying and removing impediments to the success of the sprint and the Project.

You will be managing project changes ensuring each proposed change goes through a systematic project impact analysis, is effectively communicated to stakeholders and ensuring the team are accountable for the commitments they make.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To be successful in this role you may have come from a technical background and will be able to understand the technical constraints and complexities of delivering modern software. You will be able to converse with and understand the engineering team. You may potentially even be able to contribute towards the technical solution of a particular project. You will have strong experience of leading Agile teams and acting as a team coach, facilitating continued improvement. .

You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with internal and external clients, as well as sales and business stakeholders within the business. As part of your role you may also be involved in bid and pre-sales activities as part of CGI’s business development initiatives.

In addition to core skills you will demonstrate an understanding of where Agile delivery methods may not work, or need to be tailored to delivery demands that are not Agile in nature.
You will have worked with clients who may not have experienced or appreciate Agile delivery methods, and you will be able to evangelise and champion Lean delivery and the benefits that it provides. In addition you will have worked with more classical delivery methods and have demonstrable ways of overcoming the conflicts associated with Agile delivery. You will have strong experience of Scrum, and experience of scaled and distributed Agile will be highly advantageous.
