This role will require travel between Wales and the Southeast and is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
As a CGI Project Manager, you will take ownership of technical and service transition projects, ensuring delivery excellence across scope, time, budget, and quality. You’ll lead teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve seamless transitions into Managed Services, applying structured methodologies and ensuring compliance with Acceptance Into Service processes.
You will manage client relationships, act as the key point of accountability, and provide accurate reporting on financials and project progress. In addition, you’ll contribute to identifying new opportunities and expanding business within existing accounts. Supported by CGI’s collaborative community, you’ll be empowered to take ownership of outcomes, innovate in problem-solving, and grow your career as a trusted leader.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver & Transition: Lead technical projects through to successful Managed Services handover.
Plan & Report: Manage schedules, budgets, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead & Engage: Direct project teams, manage third-party suppliers, and build strong client relationships.
Control & Assure: Provide accurate financial and status reports, managing risks and issues effectively.
Expand & Evolve: Contribute to securing additional business opportunities within accounts.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
To succeed, you should bring proven project management experience, ideally within IT and Managed Services, with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. You must be comfortable managing projects through to service transition and confident in handling financial, contractual, and client-facing responsibilities.
You should have:
Experience delivering IT or technical projects into Managed Services.
Proven ability to manage projects to time, budget, and quality.
Strong track record of client and stakeholder management.
Experience leading project teams and managing third-party suppliers.
Financial and progress reporting expertise.
Knowledge of service transition processes and methodologies.
Willingness to travel between Wales and the Southeast.
