Position Description
CGI Global Infrastructure Solutions is looking for a Patching Analyst to join our growing team in Tempe, AZ. The successful candidate will provide patching support of our large multi-tenant data center.
Your future duties and responsibilities
The individual who fills this role is responsible for managing outcomes and results. The activities that this individual will oversee include:
• You will be part of a team that will work to maintain and enhance the overall CGI Patch Management and Deployment program.
• The Patch Analyst will be responsible for Windows and RedHat Linux Patch & Vulnerability Remediation and will provide guidance in the areas of security, compliance, server management, and process improvement.
• This environment consists of multiple clients across multiple domains.
• Perform monthly patching for clients as well as ad hoc patching utilizing IPcenter automation.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Core understanding of UNIX systems. (RedHat 5,6,7)
• Core understanding of Windows systems. (2008/R2, 2012/R2, 2016)
• Experience working with an Incident Management System (such as IPcenter, BMC Remedy, or Service Now).
• Manage Windows patch content utilizing WSUS
• The ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical material to staff and management at all levels of an organization.
• 1-3 years of System Administration experience in any size environment.
• Candidates must be flexible to work overnight and weekend coverage shifts.
• Experience working with Group Policy Administration
• Current with latest technologies but has a various diverse history in IT (To handle vulnerabilities that may be several years in existence)
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (perl, python, bash, etc)

• Must be willing to successfully complete any and all CGI/client specific background & security checks.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
• Good documentation skills along with the ability to train junior level personnel
• Desire to expand responsibilities beyond initially defined job responsibilities to support emerging needs within the organization
• Ability to effectively aggregate, organize, and present information
• Pragmatic ability to balance process compliance, quality, innovation, and expedience
• Ability to be effective in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
