Position Description
CGI is hiring a Packaging and Deployment Engineer to support a large program. Your future duties and responsibilities
Work Environment:
Our client maintains and manages over approximately 17,000 workstations. In order to support a variety of business areas, the client maintains three current images and the associated hardware platforms. In addition to the Operating System (OS), which is currently Windows 10, there are approximately 200 internal applications, a variety of Commercial-Off-The Shelf (COTS) applications, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, TechNet Snag-it, WinZip, Microsoft Lync/Skype, and others. These workstations must be maintained at a high quality operational level.

Focus:
The focus of this role is application discovery, packaging and distribution, patching, compatibility testing, scripting and automation, productivity suite, browsers, and middleware. Product space includes Windows workstations/servers, Citrix, XenApp/Desktop, Flexera, App-V, PowerShell/VBScript, SCCM, and more.

Duties:
• Responsible for lifecycle management of core applications and 3rd party commercial off the shelf (COTS) apps across all endpoints.
• Help define and implement application packaging and delivery standard patterns, processes and configurations
• Create and execute streamlined processes for application intake, compatibility testing, packaging and delivery, maintenance of application catalog, inventory and licensing, retirement, and achieving perpetual application currency.
• Create application packages for automated delivery and according established standards and required business configurations
• Set up deployments of applications according to deployment criteria and monitor/report on applications deployments status

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The Packaging and Deployment Engineer must have in-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems such as:
• Microsoft Windows 10;
• Microsoft volume license key media and Key Management Service;
• Microsoft sysprep;
• Microsoft PsExec;
• Microsoft Process Monitor;
• Microsoft WinDiff;
• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2012) imaging;
• Symantec Wise Package Studio;
• Flexera AdminStudio suite of products,
• WinPE pre-execution environment;
• BMC Remedy IT Service Management solution;
• Quest ARS, TortoiseSVN suite of tools for configuration management, system infrastructure and networking
