Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network & Security Engineer to join our IT Enterprise Security Services team. This role will focus on developing and maintaining secure internet access and private access services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT security, networking, Zero Trust principles, and industry standards. This position requires staying up-to-date with security trends and identifying opportunities for automation and enhancements.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving errors.
• Recommend, design, and implement optimized technology infrastructure solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical procedural documents, such as patch management.
• Perform independent analysis, design, and completion of assigned projects.
• Provide subject matter expertise in network security engineering and support.
• Review technical work of peers and ensure compliance with security best practices.
• Follow IT Service Management procedures (Incident Management, Change Management, etc.).
• Support the management and monitoring of security systems in use.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Experience with Zscaler Internet Access and Zscaler Private Access.
• 3+ years of experience in Network Administration and IT Security.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, network security, and access control.
• Hands-on experience in managing and administering firewalls.
• Knowledge of IPsec & SSL tunnels.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT, Security, or a related field.
• Preferably certified in CCNA, AWS, Azure, or other relevant security certifications.
• Experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC).
• Experience with Azure Security, NSG, Monitoring, and Network configurations.
• Familiarity with penetration testing and ethical hacking principles.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Scripting experience with Python for automation.
