We are seeking a seasoned Java Technical Architect with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and leading enterprise-level applications. You will play a critical role in defining technical strategy, ensuring architectural best practices, mentoring engineering teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and robust Java-based solutions.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership
• Define and own end-to-end architecture for large-scale enterprise Java applications.
• Provide architectural guidance across application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, and tools.
Design & Development
• Create high-level and low-level design documents aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Guide the team in implementing design patterns and development best practices (e.g., SOLID, DRY).
• Ensure modular, scalable, and maintainable code architecture using Java 11+/17+, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.
Technical Oversight & Mentoring
• Lead code reviews, performance tuning, and refactoring initiatives.
• Mentor and coach senior developers and tech leads.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Deep understanding of trading systems, market data protocols, and financial instruments.
• Proficient in RESTful and WebSocket APIs, as well as microservices architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain the architecture for user interfaces in trading systems, ensuring they meet performance and scalability requirements.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed design specifications.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with business analysts, product owners, and solution architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Present architectural decisions and trade-offs to C-level stakeholders and project sponsors.
Governance & Standards
• Enforce coding, security, and performance standards.
• Participate in RFPs, technical assessments, and solution estimations.
• Stay current with industry trends and bring innovative ideas into the team.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must-Have Skills:
• Core Java (11/17) and advanced OOP concepts
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
• Microservices Architecture and API design (RESTful, Swagger/OpenAPI)
• Database: SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra)
• CI/CD: Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube
• Cloud Platforms: AWS/Azure/GCP (at least one hands-on)
Good-to-Have Skills:
• Exposure to Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture
• Experience in front-end integration (React/Angular) or BFF patterns
• Exposure to Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF/Zachman)
• Certifications in Java, AWS, or architecture (e.g., TOGAF, OCMJEA)
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of security practices, threading, and performance tuning
• Strong background in web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js).
