Mainframe Support Analyst

Position Description
Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter in Applications Development. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop simple applications solutions. Second level professional with direct impact on results and outcome.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Member will have to work on production support activities
• Member will have to carry pager for on-call
• Member will have to talk on bridges
• Member will have to take ownership of the tasks assigned to him/her
• Member will have to work on automation of existing processes
• Member will have to work in shifts
• Member will have to propose oppotunities for optimizing the applications

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Primary Skill: COBOL, JCL, DB2, Mainframe
• Secondary Skill: IMS DB
• Should have prior experience of at least 4 to 6 years in the following areas
• Coding/Bug-Fixing/Debugging of COBOL, JCL, BD2 based projects/applications.
• Hands on experience on Mainframe based applications
• Having IMS DB will be an added benefit.
• Hands on experience on Mainframe Support.
• Willing to work in shifts (1:00 pm to 10:00 pm/3:00 pm to 12:30 am(IST)).
• Typically holds any Engineering graduate degree from a recognized school.
