Junior Software Engineer

Position Description

Your future duties and responsibilities
You will undertake development activities in TDD, BDD and Scrum, or other Agile practices. You will be responsible for coding, building, testing and maintenance of software systems, and importantly working with others collaboratively to solve problems and to improve knowledge within the team. You will contribute to our strategic development by maintaining competence in relevant technologies/frameworks whilst also bringing in innovative and pragmatic solutions to both business and technical challenges.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• JavaJavaScript development experience
• Understanding of industry standards and best practice
• Experience of working within a development team
• Experience of development using technologies, frameworks and tools across the Open Source stack such as MongoDB, Neo4J, ELK, Fuse , Camel, CXF, ActiveMQ, AngularJS, Node.js, Python/Jython, CentOS, Ubuntu.
• Good communication skills; verbal and written

Occasional travel to other parts of the UK may be required.
