Entry Level - Java Developer

Position Description
This is an exciting opportunity to start your career as Java Developer- within the Consulting Industry and be part of a high visibility project within the Utilities domain.

This is a permanent career opportunity and you will be hired as a Consultant .

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in project/task definition and planning and report to project managers/team leads;
- Understand client requirements and system specifications;
- Develop JAVA web based applications and components as per the best practices established by the team;
- Develop required functional and technical documents;
- Ensure quality programming through rigorous testing;
- Review peer code and propose enhancements

Required Skills:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering - Courses in JAVA;
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in JAVA-based application development; Batch processing
- Experience with Oracle/SQL and relational databases;
- Practical experience with object-oriented analysis and design;
- Other technologies: e.g. J2EE, Hibernate, Web Services, JDBC, etc;
- Working knowledge of Eclipse or similar IDE;
- Agile methodology and processes, an asset;
- Experience with Unix, an asset;
- Web Application Servers: WebLogic, an asset; Your future duties and responsibilities
