CGI’s Burnaby office is located in a newly opened Solo district high-rise, providing a bright, modern work environment with excellent views and conveniences, next to the Brentwood Town Center Skytrain station.

CGI is looking for an Intermediate Business Systems Analyst for its expanding consulting team in Burnaby to help our customers on their digital transformation journey. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to move to the next level in their systems analysis career by becoming part of a team delivering complex IT solutions to our public and private sector clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The ideal person for this role brings at least 5 years of experience working with stakeholders and technical teams to identify, refine and decompose requirements for enterprise-grade systems. They will:

Leverage experience working in iterative and waterfall delivery models
Demonstrate the tenacity and facilitation skills to be able to uncover the details
Understand and articulate customer requirements in a form consumable by technical teams
Help drive innovation by understanding the client's processes and provide meaningful recommendations on how processes could be improved through the use of technology
Embrace and help drive change in our clients
Help ensure the quality of deliverables. This may include developing test strategies and plans, working with technical teams to execute test plans, triage test results, prioritize remediation activities, and otherwise support QA processes

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
We help our customers with many different types of projects covering a variety of different business scenarios including business intelligence, document and records management, customer relationship management, asset management, and enterprise resource planning. As such the Business Systems Analyst needs to have the skills to apply appropriate best practices in different situations and be able to build relationships with both client staff and CGI members to be able to gain a suitable level of understanding to be able to perform their duties.

Other important qualifications:

Possess superior English verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Have experience in one or more of the following industries: utilities, supply chain/logistics, municipal government, healthcare, transportation, retail.
Experience working in iterative and waterfall delivery models.
