Position Description

The GTA-CPS Property & Casualty Insurance team is looking to staff client engagements with skilled Guidewire Business Analysts. We are looking to staff using a combination of existing Property & Casualty Insurance Vertical members and new additions.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Reporting into the Requirements Manager for performing business analysis function
• Works in a fast paced cross functional agile (Scrum/SAFe) work environment
• Leads requirements for Guidewire ClaimCenter – Integration and Conversion functions with a focus on Commercial lines of business
• Works with client SME to elicit business and technical requirements
• Conducts user story / sprint demonstrations at the end of sprint / release
• Conducts and facilitates workshops / JAD sessions etc. with internal and client stakeholders; seeks timely approvals from the client SME / stakeholders
• Documents requirements specifications for data analysis, data mappings for Guidewire, third party integrations and transformation
• Develops functional specifications in the form of User Stories, process flows, use cases, data mappings leveraging tools such as JIRA, Confluence, rally etc.
• Works with product owner and team to determine the Acceptance criteria for a user story
• Performs testing of the completed user stories
• Conducts user story / sprint demos at the end of sprint / release
• Participates in agile sprint ceremonies, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospective sessions
• Conducts end user training by means of workshops, training guides and operation manuals
• Works with globally distributes teams across geographies for the purpose of delivering
• Works with internal development, testing teams to support requirements clarifications throughout the project execution
• Works with Requirements Manager, Scrum Master and Program Manager for various project activities

What will you bring?
• Excellent domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance to understand and analyze the business needs of the customer
• Detailed knowledge of Guidewire applications specifically ClaimCenter
• Experience in data analysis, data mappings for Guidewire and third party integrations
• Expertise in creating functional specifications in the form of User Stories, process flows, use cases, data mappings
• Experienced in gathering, defining and organizing business and functional requirements – including acceptance criteria for use by developers and testers to implement and test a functionality
• Ability to lead and facilitate the requirements gathering sessions
• Eliciting requirements and scope using client interviews, documents reviews, legacy analysis, survey and translating client requirements into agile user stories
• Collaboratively work closely with business product owners, architects, actuaries, developers and testers to ensure the solution is built in accordance to defined requirements
• Identifying, capturing, resolving or escalating risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
• Strong business judgement, leadership and integrity; Should be able to take decisions, able to bring healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business problems
• Ability to work in the global delivery model and be a liaison between the client and software development team situation across different geographies
• Experience in working in a fast paced Agile (Scrum / SAFe) and multiple stakeholder environments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in delivering wide range of technology solutions across Insurance Industry
• At least 3 to 5 years of BSA experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter
• Experience in writing functional/technical specifications
• Hands on experience working on Guidewire Data Dictionary, Product Designer, Underwriting rules etc.
• Experience in data analysis, data mappings for Guidewire and third-party integrations
• Experience in performing testing
• Experience in running SQL queries
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpretation skills

Nice to have:
• Guidewire ClaimCenter functional certifications
• Agile certifications (Scrum/SAFEe)
• Insurance enthusiast

Technical skills:
• Guidewire application knowledge – ClaimCenter
• Experience in performing testing - UAT
• Experience in using management tolls like – Confluence, Jira, Rally, RTC etc.
• Expertise in using Microsoft Office suite, Visio etc.
• Ability to query SQL database and analyze results
• Experience working on XML and JSON structures
