Graphic Designer

Position Description
Provide specialized expertise in the design and layout of graphical user interfaces, particularly, screen layouts and functionality for client-server applications (e.g. Microsoft Windows presentation screens). Conduct studies, testing and evaluation of screen prototypes for functionality, ease of use, efficiency, and accuracy.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Uses User Centered Design Methodology that includes requirements documentation, user profiles and scenarios of use, detailed wire frames, iterative user testing (including study design, data analysis, and design recommendations) and a full range of available features, including, but not limited to: searchable text content, streaming audio and video, animations, documents that are 508 compliant, hot links to affiliated bulletin boards and e-mail, 508 compliant PDF versions of print publications, Shockwave, Flash or other 508 compliant media applications for interactive formats, listservs and blogs, online applications, order forms, surveys and feedback forms.

Conceptualizes, designs, and develops a wide variety of information materials (technical, promotional, informational), such as forms, labels, brochures, meeting and conference handouts, slides, posters, and other presentation aids. Designs other visual products such as logos, mastheads, and illustrations for articles in technical manuals, health journals, and other publications. Uses advanced desktop publishing, page layout, or typesetting software to design and develop high quality textual and graphic compositions to communicate complex technical information. Produces graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, films, presentations, packaging, and informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlets.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to graphic design. Skills with the following:
