Position Description:
The Acquisition Subject Matter Expert will join a horizontal team responsible for industry outreach, providing account delivery expertise and supporting business development opportunities. The SME will assist with a variety of Federal acquisition initiatives and tasks to support one or many account teams over short- and long-term durations; sharing knowledge to address critical gaps and develop team members. . Expertise should span the breadth of products in the market, implementation (how the products are used in a production setting), end-to-end procurement and acquisition business processes, related government policy and guidance, and industry best practices.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Managing across the project lifecycle including assisting with requirements and scope definition, business case development, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, testing, training, and implementation phases for different federal acquisition projects.
• Reviewing and evaluating federal acquisition business processes from request through contract closeout and retention.
• Leveraging subject matter expertise to provide functional insight to Momentum Acquisitions enhancements and defect analysis.
• Leveraging subject matter expertise to support business development requirements analysis, product demonstration efforts, and input to proposal responses.
• Leveraging subject matter expertise to support advanced acquisition training efforts.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 7+ years in working with federal solutions for acquisition management (Momentum Acquisitions, Compusearch PRISM, Oracle CLM, Appian ABM)
• Extensive knowledge of the federal acquisition regulations, processes, directives, instructions, and program guidance documents.
• Prior experience in implementing federal acquisition system(s) for an agency
• Problem solver along with ability to multi task
• Prior consulting experience in any of the following areas:
o Business process improvement
o Federal Acquisition policies and procedures
o Federal Acquisition system integrations
• Work independently and across many initiatives at once
• Proven client management skills
• Experience in requirements gathering and BPR analysis
• Ability to travel to different client sites in the DC Metro area
• Knowledge and experience in Momentum Acquisitions or Financials is desired
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Previous experience with delivering pre-sales product demonstrations
• Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification
• Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certification or previous experience in federal contracting

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800.00 - $209,100.00.
