Your Role
As an ESG Student Assistant at CGI Denmark, you will play a key role in supporting our local ESG strategy, ensuring compliance with sustainability standards, and contributing to internal and external ESG initiatives, such as data collection, reporting and coordination. You will also have opportunities to support our client engagements and see how we help companies navigate the many new regulations and opportunities presented by this area.

Examples of Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Compliance with ISO 14001:
• Maintain documentation and processes for ISO 14001.
• Plan and participate in audits to ensure continuous national certification.

Driving Internal ESG Initiatives:
• Support ESG campaigns and knowledge-sharing across the organization.
• Help ensure knowledge transfer across the organization.

ESG Reporting & Data Management:
• Report on climate-related activities and corporate sustainability efforts.
• Collect and analyse Scope 1, 2, and 3 emission factors in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
• Assist in social ESG reporting and CSRD compliance.

Project Support & Governance:
• Provide ad-hoc support for ESG-related consultancy tasks.
• Assist with project governance, including meeting coordination and follow-ups.
• Help create client presentations and documentation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

We imagine that you:
• Are currently pursuing a relevant bachelor's or master’s degree, preferably within sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field.
• Have a strong interest in ESG and climate initiatives, with a solid understanding of such concepts as Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., the EU taxonomy, CSRD).
• Thrive in a cross-functional role, where you collaborate across departments and engage with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
• Possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
• Have strong communication skills, enabling you to present findings effectively to stakeholders and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Fluency in English is essential , but due to the nature of the tasks, proficiency in Danish is a strong advantage .

The position is approximately 15 hours per week with a hybrid work setup, requiring at least one weekly office day at our Ballerup location. Working hours may vary depending on project workloads, and, of course, we offer full flexibility during exam periods and other academic commitments.
