Enterprise Data Architect - Pittsburgh, PA

Position Description
CGI is looking for a seasoned enterprise data architect with prior investment management experience. Collaborating with business and technology teams, this key role will drive data architecture strategy and direction, and lead multiple strategic transformation programs. This person is responsible for the client's data architecture, including standards around data definition, attribute naming, and identifying record of reference for critical entities. They will provide data models, metadata, and demographics on legacy data sources and will act in a review capacity for the data model and production integration. This particular role does require the candidate to be a permanent resident of the US and be willing to travel.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Experience in the Asset Management industry including familiarity with buy-side investment management process, including defining complete data strategy for asset classes.
• Define and establish technical strategy, standards, and guidelines in the data architecture domain and model domain including creating and maintaining models and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders and various IT data practice teams to define transitional and target state data architectures.
• Act as central point of discussion regarding data management; i.e., users, DBA, application development including maintaining data models and definitions of data elements
• Communicate information about data to users, application development, and database administration.
• Coordinate change management of data models.
• Design mapping of data from source to target systems.
• Maintain information of processes that move data between data stores.
• Facilitate stewardship of data.
• Maintain information regarding identification of data stewards.
• Interface with: Users, DBA staff, Application designers, Extract, condition, and load developers, Application project manager.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 10+ years of proven experience leading complex distributed data architectures including investment management initiatives.
• 10+ years of practice experience in Domain Driven Design, SOA, Master Data Management and Data Services.
• Deep understanding of some industry standards like DAMA, DMBOK, or TOGAF.
• Experience in financial, investment management and securities markets required.
• Strong collaboration skills, able to work with many different individuals and partner effectively with different groups, driving teams to delivery
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments
• Complex problem solving and critical thinking skills.
