EDI Programmer Analyst (IBMi -AS400)
Position Description
EDI Programmer Analyst with IBMi AS400 / i-Series experience. As a Programmer Analyst. You will be part of a technical team supporting business operations in an ERP-Distribution environment working closely with internal business partners to support, write, modify and test coding / scripting associated with EDI transactions.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Create /support/ modify and test coding / scripting associated with EDI transactions using RPG/RPGLE & some COBOL& USING DDM/IFS file system on System i
• Experience in troubleshooting problems, job monitoring, and debugging and error correction. AS400 / i-Series
• Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of any EDI/cXML failures and issues
• Process management and process administration experience (ensuring that processes are followed, defining them and administrating them)
• Strong multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills necessary to manage tasks
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills; ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
• Highly motivated and self-direct
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• A degree or diploma in Information Systems related studies
• 3+ years experience in RPG/RPGLE & some COBOL& USING DDM/IFS file system on IBMi AS400 / i-Series
• Experience with interfacing into TRUSTEDLINK 400 EDI SOFTWARE. Must be familiar with looking at data with EDI SOFTWARE & would be helpful if you have used TRANSLATION MAPPING COMPONENT OF software. Asset to have written USER EXIT PROGRAMS for Translation software
• Familiar with EDI Transaction sets involved with Distribution systems ie; EDI850/EDI810/EDI840 Inbound and Outbound series
• Experience using the LIAISON (TRAILBLAZER) AS2 SOFTWARE now owned by OPENTEXT. Must be familiar how it interfaces to TRUSTEDLINK 400 EDI SOFTWARE
• Experience using HTTPS/HTTP/FTP Protocols to receive & send data from/to clients/3rd parties from/to SYSTEMI i.
• Experience using/configuring own HTTP Severs on SYSTEM I
• Helpful if worked on different platform to get perspective of environment changes
• Good written and communication skills
