Director Consulting Expert – Telco

Position Description:

CGI continues to expand its Telco footprint and is now seeking a seasoned leader to support the next phase of growth in Stockholm.

As a Director Consulting Expert (DCE), you will take ownership of developing our Telco business with clients in Stockholm. You will play a key role in leading and scaling a high-performing consulting team, while driving client value through business transformation and AI powered innovation.

You will lead the business holistically, functional expertise, thought leadership, spanning sales, client relationships, delivery excellence and profitable growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a commercial, entrepreneurial consulting environment and wants to combine strategic client impact with hands on leadership in building a telco capability. 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As Director Consulting Expert, you will:

.    Client Delivery and Advisory Leadership
-    Ensure high quality delivery of telco engagements.
-    Act as a trusted senior advisor to clients on their transformation strategy, AI adoption and scalable execution.
-    Bridge business needs with technical solutions and measurable outcomes.
-    Act as a talent magnet by attracting, recruiting and developing next generation of CGI professionals.
.    Business Development and Sales
-    Drive sales and growth within telco clients.
-    Identify new opportunities related to data platforms, AI adoption, analytics and digital transformation.
-    Strengthen and expand long term relationships with senior stakeholders.
.    Revenue and Profitability
-    Own growth, revenue and profitability for the data and AI portfolio within financial services.
-    Balance commercial ambition with delivery excellence and sustainable margins.
.    Management Team Contribution
-    Actively contribute to the management team and the strategic development of CGI's Telecom business.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

.    Proven leadership experience within consulting in Telecom domain, or AI‑driven transformation.
.    Strong understanding of Telecom domain, industry standards, latest innovations.
.    Experience building, scaling and leading consulting teams.
.    Demonstrated ability to drive business development and trusted client relationships.
.    Can comfortably operate in a dynamic, client‑driven environment with multiple parallel priorities.
.    Proactive, relationship‑oriented and trusted by senior stakeholders.

.    Prior experience working with telecom institutions in Sweden and the Nordics.
.    Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
