Digital Forensics Incident Response Analyst
Position Description
As a member of CGI’s Cyber Security practice, you will contribute to providing Digital Forensics Incident Response consulting services to our GTA clients across a wide range of industry sectors.
Your future duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for providing industry leading professional services in digital investigations, incident response and malware analysis services for CGI clients. As a member of the CGI Consulting Services team, you will also support the development and delivery of our cyber breach response services and will have the opportunity to collaborate with security and IT experts across CGI.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in Incident Response and have a strong foundation in digital forensics analysis, investigations and case management practices. The candidate will have proficiency with leading Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools as well as familiarity with forensic analysis tools.
Experience and Competencies:
o Proficiency with industry standard forensic tools such as X-Ways, EnCase, Axiom, Falcon, etc.
o Ability to forensically analyze systems for evidence of compromise
o Ability to communicate technical findings and concepts to key stakeholders
o Experience hunting threat actors in large enterprise networks
o Knowledge of common systems and application vulnerabilities and counter measures
o Ability to interpret alert logs and network traffic to identify an attack pattern and recognize typical attack scenarios
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
o Bachelor or specialized college degree in Computer Science, System Engineering or another related IT Program.
o At least 3 years of experience in technical and consulting skills with subject matter expertise in one or more of the following specialities: incident response, computer forensics and network security.
o At least 3 years in a high level of hands-on experience with hardware/software tools used in incident response, computer forensics, network security assessments, and/or application security
o Professional designations such as GCFA, GCFE, GNFA, GREM or CFE, OSCE, OSCP are desirable
o Prepare detailed written reports of a high standard and communicate your findings and recommendations effectively both orally and verbally
o Maintain current knowledge and expertise with relevant security, IT environment, and industry IT trends, particularly those related to threats, vulnerabilities and safeguards.
