DevOps Coach

Position Description
CGI wants to change the way our customers develop software. We need highly skilled people with a positive and energetic attitude to join us on this journey. Our DevOps Practice Coaches will act as change agents for our clients and disseminate DevOps culture and practices. The coach will design and execute custom training plans, at a development team level, with a focus on sustainability.

Who are You?
You’ve got a ton of experience on the development side of the world but are never satisfied with the status quo. Comfortable isn’t your desired position; you’re always looking for ways to improve and change. You are the person on a development team who always has their hand up volunteering to try new things. You knew what Docker was before your boss heard about it at a conference. Your future duties and responsibilities
Works with delivery and enablement teams to:
- Build a service-oriented culture within the organization
- Provide practical guidance to end users and leaders on DevOps practices and principals
- Focus on helping groups become more performant
- Deliver the mission and mandate of organizational COE into practitioners
- Optimize delivery across technical domains through the SDLC spectrum of the organization
- Drive visibility into the delivery process for team members and leadership (both blocks and performance)
- DevOps, Software Development, Software Architecture, Public Speaking, Leadership, IT Strategy, Full-Stack Developer Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Great at facilitating and influencing delivery teams (tech staff) on DevOps best practices and help them onboard onto pipelines.
- Jenkins (declarative and scripted pipelines), Git, Nexus / Artifactory
- Bash, PowerShell, groovy, python or other high level scripting language
- Java, Maven / Gradle, Ant
- Nice to have : Node & NPM
