Developer HP NonStop / Tandem

Position Description
CGI’s Banking Services Division is assisting our Client with a gradual migration from Tandem to a new JAVA Stack. We have an immediate need for a proven Tandem Developer to support the Tandem applications environment while providing a knowledge base for this migration.

Your future duties and responsibilities
.
1. Perform application development, unit testing and provide application maintenance & support.
2. Provide support to BSA & QA team as required for application development.
3. Support SIT, UAT & PROD deployments and participate in preparation of implementation plans.
4. Able to collect project related matrix and prepare reports for senior / executive management.
5. Responsible for diagnosing and resolving application issues.
6. Coordinate with BSA & QA teams for defect resolution.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Mandatory Skills:
• Strong Development background
• Strong Analytical Skills - troubleshoot/Analyse issues to identify root cause
• Excellent hands-on experience in Tandem with a working knowledge of Guardian
• Should be able to analyse and develop solutions independently
Technical Skills:
NonStop X - Working knowledge of Guardian is mandatory (Exposure to L series is preferred), OSS in optional
Tandem System , CAIL, TACL, Pathway , Pathsend, C, Cobol, SCOBOL, ENFORM, PERUSE, FUP, Spoolcom, Non-Stop SQL , Enscribe, SCUP , XPNET , Base24 , SCF , OLTP Concepts, Strong SQL Skills, Netbatch, EMS, Primecode, RMS or similar Nonstop based version control system

Preferred Skills:
• Nice to have Technical Skills - TAL, iTP, OSS, JAVA/C++ layer on Tandem.
• Knowledge of Payments domain
• Experience in BESS Application
• Experience of working in onsite / offshore model

Preferable Domain Knowledge:
Canadian RTGS / LVTS, Knowledge of BESS, Payments Domain - Wires, ISO 20022, SWIF T(MT/MX)
