Data Engineer - Qlikview with French

Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Developer experienced with QlikView 12.50.20400.0, IBM DataStage v9 (migration in progress to v11), and Oracle Database 11g. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing data integration and reporting solutions.
The position requires strong analytical skills, deep technical expertise, and advanced proficiency in both French and English.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage (v9 and v11).
• Develop and enhance QlikView dashboards and reports to support business intelligence needs.
• Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading from Oracle Database 11g and other data sources.
• Participate in the migration of DataStage from version 9 to 11, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Optimize existing ETL and reporting processes for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Document solutions, data flows, and system configurations.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 3+ years of experience in QlikView development (version 12.50 or higher).
• Strong experience with IBM DataStage v9, with exposure or readiness to work on migration to v11.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database 11g, including SQL tuning and PL/SQL scripting.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL design patterns, and BI best practices.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and deliver clear, actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken) — mandatory.
• problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multicultural, cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
• Experience working in large, data-centric enterprise environments.
