Position Description
Computer Operator to Support EOIR/BIA

CGI Federal is seeking a Computer Operator to support the Executive Office of Immigration Reform, Board of Immigration Appeals office in Falls Church, VA.

Key qualities to possess: Digitization, Quality Control, Document Management, etc.

Position Duties

1. Preparing documents for scanning by removing (staples, binder clips and paper clips etc..)
2. Insert barcoded sheet (separator sheet) in front of each document. – Batch Scanning
3. Scan the documents using the scanner machine (Cannon) and ensure that the correct scanning setting is use.
4. Conduct page by page Quality check on each scanned documents to ensure that all pages are scanned, word in each page is legible, and not crooked.
5. Rename each documents using the filename provided and ensure to use the correct filename.
6. Optimized scanned documents using Adobe Acrobat.
7. Upload scanned document into a website.
8. Using a report, separate each document to restricted or non-restricted piles.
9. Generate report and verify that all documents listed on report are included on the document being received.
10. Track any missing document using the Case filetrail.

REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Any combination of related experience or related field.
• Experience with various software, i.e., Windows XP, WordPerfect, MS Word, Lotus 1 2 3,
Excel, and Quattro Pro.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills.
• Ability to successfully complete a CGI Background Investigation to include, 50 State
Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks to start employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (Moderate Risk
Public Trust) to start employment.
• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.
• Some bending and lifting may be required (able to lift approx.. 30 lbs)
• Possible filing may be required.
• This is an expected 40 hour work week position. All employees will work a 9 hour day with 1 hour for lunch.
