Business Systems Analyst/SME - Payments

Position Description
CGI is hiring a Payments Domain expert/SME who can drive the business and development teams; analyze and make recommendations on improving existing business processes in the US Payments domain. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in various types of payments including the WIRE, ACH International & Real Time Payments with broad knowledge of Federal Laws, Rules and Regulations.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Elicit requirements from business users and subject matter experts
• Analyze and break down the business problem to identify potential solutions
• Collaborate within and cross departmentally on payment solutions
• Provide recommendations and creative solutions in payments area
• Document features, phases, and solution requirements
• Deliver solution overview documentation and direction to team members
• Build solid domain knowledge and deep understanding of current system functionality.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 8+ years of experience
• Banking or financial industry knowledge and experience
• Subject matter expert in various types of payments including the WIRE, ACH International & Real Time Payments
• Broad knowledge of ACH origination processes and procedures, specifically ACH returns and exposure limits
• Well-versed with Finastra, Fiserv and Zelle products.
• Experience with FED, SWIFT & BOOK payments
Knowledge working with clearing houses like FED, TCH & CHIPS
• Advanced knowledge of assigned business line or functional area
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills

Desired Skills:
• GPP product knowledge
• IBM FTM product knowledge is a good to have.

Education: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related IT field or equivalent combination of experience and education
