Business Analyst, Life Sciences

Position Description
Be part of something transformative and join the CGI Group as a Business Analyst leveraging your expertise in business analysis working on an exciting digital programme at an early stage within the Life Sciences sector.

This role is to be based out of Cambridge with a degree of flexibility around travel as required.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Business Analyst will work closely with key stakeholders in a tight-knit, customer-facing team across the full software development lifecycle capturing and analysing data with an ultimate aim of improving operational efficiency.

Typically the Business Analyst will elicit and document requirements, highlights key challenges, look to validate business requirements and effectively translate these requirements into system and non-functional requirements. The individual will facilitate review sessions with business and IT stakeholders, as-is and to-be statuses and assist in developing new business processes as needed.

It’s important the individual adopts a can-do and flexible approach to their work, assisting with ad-hoc duties as needed and adhering to the solution delivery lifecycle (SDLC) processes at all times.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The successful candidate must offer demonstrable Business Analyst expertise gained within the Life Sciences sector, most likely a pharmaceutical and/or biotech laboratory operations/research environment. The successful Business Analyst will demonstrate keen problem-solving skills, experience working across the SDLC (solution delivery lifecycle) and be familiar with laboratory processes.

Experience of driving requirements gathering, solutioning to drive efficiencies in end-to-end laboratory operations and the design/implementation of solutions is keenly sought, as is working in a customer-facing environment, identifying and documenting user stories, with knowledge of Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and the Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).

Finally a degree-educated background in a relevant discipline, along with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated familiarity with the software development process (e.g. requirements gathering, analysis/design, development tools, release/version control, testing and deployment) would be highly preferred.
